Been trying to figure out the proper place to ask this question, so I figured I'd try here. I recently acquired a Astra Constable II. Is was cheap, in bad shape and lacking a magazine. However, I like a good challenge. Question is, I read somewhere that Ruger LCP magazines will fit the Constable. Any truth to this?

Thanks in advance

Old thread, but the Astra Constable is more akin to the Walther PPK series in size so an LCP would be smaller.  I can't imagine that it'd fit.  My father had one in .32 many years ago that was a good gun; accurate and no issues that I can recall.

Try these guys too.  I've bought a couple of unusual magazines from them before.

As an FYI there is a slight difference in Constable mags between early and later models. I've got an early one (forged, beautiful deep blueing) and their floorplates are slightly "thinner". A later mag will almost seat but not quite so a little fitting is required. Not a showstopper but something to be aware of. Happy shooting, they are every bit as good as a Walther PPK.
