Ok people I just bought my first handgun a brand spanking new M&P 40.cal compact (takes a bow). I've never carried a weapon concealed before so I'm new to the whole CCW, thingy! I need a comfortable holster that would fit my new toy. I was thinking about buying a crossbreed holster but am open to suggestions. I would prefer an inside the wasteband holster unless someone wants to try to change my mind. Please any help you could give would be appreciated. Thanks and good shooting!

Get some professional instruction before you start carrying.

I carry a full size M&P .40 in a horsehide Super Tuck, usually under only a single tee shirt, and it's extremely comfortable and conceals the pistol very well.

On the few occasions when my mode of dress requires a pistol with shorter grips; I carry an M&P 9c in the same holster and it works great as well.

Super Tucks are great for carrying M&Ps IWB.

Get yourself a good gun belt too; my favorite is the 1 1/2" Comp-Tac Kydex reinforced contour belt but I like my Crossbreed belt as well.
