I currently have a standard M&P 9 but I have a SWR Trident9 on the way for an AR I'm building and wanted to be able to use it on my Smith also.

I found out about Storm Lake barrels but was wondering if you guys knew of another option.  Can you get them directly from S&W?

Try getting one directly from them and then try Gemtech if that doesn't work.

I talked to CS at S&W and they have a bbl in there system that sells for $80

However, they don't have any in stock and the guy said he didn't know if they were going to produce any more

I called Smith and was told the same thing. The threaded barrels were not a standard part, they were made for the Spec-Ops pistols, which were a limited run. You can order one, but it may never come in. The rep recommended the Storm Lake barrel as the only alternative he was aware of. I like the more conventional (for the U.S.) threading on the Storm barrel, I just dont like a stainless bbl in a black pistol (superficial, I know...). Now if Jarvis started production, that would be my first choice.
