I bought a hollow shaft golf club at Goodwill for $3.00 and cut and notched the top and cleaned the sharp edges with a Dremel. You push it up until it meets the moonclip and twist, the rounds fall into the shaft so you can dump them back into your can. When you twist the club, the lip on the club prys the round out of the moonclip. Works like a champ and cheap.

The screwdriver like de-mooner sold at Brownell's.

Simple, strong, easy to use, effective.

Mine is a short length, about seven inches,  of 1/2 inch copper pipe.  Notched like the golf club as above, when you use it the empties slide inside and puoured out where I want them.  Cost nothing as it was scrap, works like a champ.

Mine is a small piece of galvanized pipe, but made the same as yours is.  I wouldn't want anything with a closed bottom on it, like the screwdriver handle tool above.

I've got one made of copper pipe and 2 from old golf club shafts. All have closed ends. I wouldn't have one open. Mine are all long enough to hold 6 unfired cartridges. Strip them off and pour them out.
