Alright,
Anyone know anything about this one? I figured the threaded barrel is nice if I ever want a can someday. Otherwise, how is it different from a stock M&P? |

If you call S&W you can order the threaded barrel alone for them. It's only like $90. i hear they aren't doing that anymore. but only the threaded barrel and the "Spec-Ops" on the side are the difference. heres mine with a Gemtech Multi-Mount. http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk154/turbosamZ/spec-ops_mutl-mount_1.jpg That would be a bummer. Gem-tech probably stocks them though. Nice looking pistola! |
| Storm Lake has threaded barrels for most if not all of the M&P line. |

I had Adco thread my factory M&P barrel and it was a great set-up How did that work? The standard M&P does not have an extended barrel. They extend and thread the bbl. From adco's site: Threaded Barrel Extension For use with factory pistol barrel $150.00 Common on Glocks, Sigs, M&Ps, Hi-Powers, etc. We do U.S. RH threads only. Barrel must be at least 3.9" long. A good option if you have a pistol which extended factory barrels are not available. Please send your slide with the barrel so we can match the depth/diameter of the extension. http://adcofirearms.com/shopservices/shop_.cfm?code=1 |

Just to note, the spec ops barrel will only with with a Gemtech supressor. Something to do with the extra bit of metal at the end of the barrel before the threads actually start. If you want to use it with any other silencer you are definitely better off getting a barrel somewhere else or having ADCO do if for you.

It is a tactical must have don't you know.
When I sent my M&P in to have the performance center sear put in I asked about a Threaded Barrel and they said $120 and that was 2 months ago, things could have changed. |
