Also, are there any shotshells approved for use in .45ACP? CCI's are not recommended.

1911s leave part of the cartridge unsupported. Because of this the 1911 is limited in the pressure it can handle. Sierra load manuals used to(maybe still do)list hot loads for revolvers chambered in 45ACP.
