Check with the guys here...they eat, sleep and breathe S&Ws...likely a $400+ gun...maybe more these days.

If the gun is pristine, excellent to like new bluing and hasn't been shot or carried too much, it is worth a premium to lots of S&W shooters. I'd say some gun shops would ask around $600 or more. I'd say in the above condition $550 would be a good deal for the buyer.
With wear (gas cutting on the top of the frame, forcing cone wore,, etc) and a medium amount of bluing wore off, I'd say $350 without the box and extras. With, $400. If it had white outline sights, TT and TH, and the orange insert, you could get more - around $75 to $100 more if in good to excellent condition. A new S&W is not made as good as that revolver. The old saying is that they don't make them like that anymore is very true. |

With the original box, I'd say retail value is in the $375-425 range. The 2-1/2" bbl versions bring a bit more premium on the Model 19's due to the easier CCWing of the shorter barrels.
If you'll post the production code on the box, I'll give you the year range of mfg. |
