The trigger is super light, but damn it has the normal 500 miles of pre travel.
It is also loose as hell, I mean I don't expect Les Baer tightness, but still.
Hopefully get to shoot it in a week or two.

Yea, I'll probably drop the $99 on the APEX flat polymer since the new S&W flat trigger will most likely be unobtanum. The stock 2.0 triggers on both my pistol is damn light, but the hinged trigger continues to suck.
Already have a set of Dawson FO on the way.

I purchased a Shield 45 2.0 Performance Center last weekend and swapped the trigger from one of my Shield Plus Performance Center guns to see if it would work. It does and is a huge improvement even over the Performance Center Hinged Trigger. I called S&W Customer Service on Thursday to ask about the new Shield Plus Triggers and was told that they were not currently available for individual small parts sales and probably wouldn't be available until after the move to Maryville.

Well the only Factory flat I could find used was on ebay for something like $180, so no.
Went ahead and got the APEX polymer flat and Dawson sights.
The APEX, is of course, awesome. I'm using the stock trigger spring and the unpainted sear spring, which I believe should net 4.68ishlbs according to the chart. It feels way lighter than that.
However, whatever monkey S&W used to cut the front dovetail did so on the small size, then used a damn press to put the stock sight in. It was a bitch to fit. and I f'd up and went 2 or 3 swipes too many with the file so it just slides in and out now. Red Lock-tite is holding it in. Ill replace it sometime.

Anyone running a magwell on a full-size 9mm 2.0? Just some cursory searching shows Floyds seems to be the popular one. Seems they all need to be ran with that maker's base pads, but I did find one from Carver Custom that can be used with factory pads. I'm not really hung up on running an extended base pad since that means I could bump up capacity some.

Magwell pic

I tried the Craver custom “standard magwell” for my m&p gen1. Moved it around on 3 different frames. Some standard base plates would fit, others would not go all the way in. The ones with older taren tatical extensions locked in fine, strike industries did not.

I removed the magwell because I did not like stander mags getting stuck and not having a way to easily remove them.

On advice from a poster in here, I snagged up the Floyd's setup. It's pretty minimal but well-made. The Carver one just seemed like someone drew the dimensions on a napkin and hit cycle start.

had the same issue with a buddys glock 34 last week. even with a proper sight tool it was a bitch and left some marks.

The apex kit is nice and stock springs all around is too light IMO for carry use. Think we have the same setup and its money

I had a homeless RMR so I picked up a 4” compact 2.0 today.  The slide also works great on my full-size frame. Manual safety delete will be the first thing done to it.

Yeah, once they did the upgrades and added the front serrations they hit it out of the park.  Some people are front serration haters but it does make the gun easier to manipulate when you are running a dot.

Thanks gents.  I'm also a huge fan of the improvements over the original M&P, in both function and appearance.  I finally got around to doing the thumb safety delete, now I just gotta contact S&W to get the frame plugs.  They ought to send them with the gun from the factory, enough people remove them and it probably costs more to ship them than it does to make them.

Nice! I have the same one and love it. I also got the FDE OR flavor compact 4". Both are good shooters. The trigger feels great compared to the old hinged trigger.

Old School but Works.

S&W M&P 1.0 old Police Trade in .40 S&W (Federal HST 180) gets it done.

Tritium Nights + TRL-1 for a biggie piggie at 36 yards at night in the country.

My version of a Wick Stick. I like the size of a G34 but don't like glocks.
Got an Apex Threaded barrel and an Agency Arms comp, get the 4.25" gun to within 0.15" of a G34 size.
Now if I could just find a damn Ext Slide release that isn't priced to high heaven.
Hopefully will get to shoot it some this weekend.

I'm try to find the part number for those magazines to use with my full size M2.0s.  I have thought about stealing them from a Spec or a FPC but since I'm not interested in keeping either of those because of the grip size figured I would lose too much on them.

Unfortunately I could not find a part number imprinted anywhere on the two 23-round magazines or I gladly would have shared that. I can confirm that these are a pretty rad redesign which is why I was inclined to pick them up in the spec kit.
