I really couldnt find any info on the differences between the 2 models..

but I recently traded my SW9VE for a SW9GVE, simply because I was after the OD frame.

When I got the pistol, I noticed it was not a VE series.  It simply says SW9G on the slide.

Can anyone tell me what the differences are, and how badly I got shafted?

Or, did I get lucky, and this is the model that I can swap over the Glock trigger to?

Any info is appreciated!

Best as I can tell, this is what I have from the Blue Book:

SW9G = Nato Green frame

SW9VE = satin stainless steel slide

So, based only on that info, you should have a Nato Green frame with a satin SS slide? If not, then I simply have no clue.

Perhaps the best bet is to call S&W's toll free number & ask them?

Good luck!

No, not quite.

The "GVE" models have a green frame, SS slide and standard sights.

The "G" models came with the same green frame, blackened SS slide and a front night sight.

And, no, you can't swap any Glock parts to any Sigma models.

Here's a pic of my SW40G
