A friend wants to buy a titanium .38 for CCW.  I don't know a lot about revolvers.  I do know that the concealed hammer version is often recommended, but don't know model #'s.  Also, is scandium (sp?) better or worse?  Suggestions? Comments?  Complaints about the search function (J and Ti are both too short)?

Thanks!

My .o2:

The titanium/scandium framed J-frames are for folks with $$$ to burn. The weight difference from the aluminum alloyed framed cousins is minimal & won't be noticeable by the average shooter, IMO.

I bought a Model 460 Performance Center (souped-up 442) & spent the difference on holster & LOTS of ammo.

Worth it for .357 capability

I went with the M&P 340,  mostly because I kept hearing about the Ti cylinders scratching.

I've got a 442 and I like it. It's the Airwieght .
