I'm looking for a used .38 revolver for my wife. I came across a Model 15 Combat Masterpiece. It has a 4" barrel with wooden grips and adjustable sights. Are these pretty decent wheelguns ? Is this considered a K frame model ? Does anybody have any history on the Model 15 ? What's is different in a Combat Masterpiece ? Do they all have the firing pin built into the hammer ? Thanks, Jim |

The 15 is a great gun. It's similar to the 10 & 14 but with the fully adjustable rear sight like the 14. It is a 38 Special and I think you'll find it very accurate even at way past normal pistol ranges. Yup, it's a K frame. Combat Masterpiece was more marketing than anything else. Yes, they all have the firing pin on the hammer and it's normal for it to move up and down. |

I carried one before we switched to the 9mm, great gun, I waited until the last opportunity to trade mine in, I WAS IN LOVE WITH MINE. Oh well progress......... As a K frame, it was THE police firearm......might want to consider the SS version, Mod 64. Or .357 version, Mod 66. Triggers are really sweet when worked on. |
