The last few times that I have gone out shooting with my SW9GVE Sigma I have had a few issues with it failing to chamber hollow point rounds. For what it is worth I have never had it fail to chamber standard Winchester rounds the issue one seems to be with the hollow point rounds. Here are the specfics that might help let me know if more info is needed. Rounds: I first tried the Remmington rounds and after the FTC I decided to try a different brand to see if that was an issue. The rounds were as follows: * Remmington Golden Saber .147g JHP * Federal .124g hydrashock Occurances per magazine: I was not trying to plink these rounds off as fast as possible I was shoting taking aim shooting again more than enough time for the gun to cycle. I have 16 rnd. magazines and on the Remmington rounds it failed on 2/16 rounds and on the Federal rounds it failed on 1/16 rounds. On both rounds it appeared to get caught (like the lip on the hallow point is sharp enough to not dig in but stop the round from sliding) on the slide that the tip of the round slides up in order to get it into the chamber. I clean the gun after every use so I would assume after less than 20-30 rounds it would get dirty enough to cause a friction point. I have put less than 500 rounds though the gun at this time too if that matters at all. I would asume that this is not normal and I know that the Sigma is not a perfect quality gun but have others experienced this issue or is it something that I should take up with the place that I bought the gun from? Is it is something that there is a fix for at all, just looking for some suggestions here. |

Thanks for the quality answer If anyone has any suggestions on ammunition to try other than the 2 that I have listed let me know after talking to a few people that seems to be the best thing right now. |
