Not a PD, standard steel frame, but here's mine. I just got it yesterday.

Where'd you get that? Price? I don't even see it listed on the SW website. I've been looking for a railed 1911. Didn't know SW made one in steel.

I got it from someone planning to carry it on duty but found out he could only carry a railed Kimber. I didn't ask where he got it originally. I assume from a gun shop.
I think I got a pretty good deal, paid $675.

Wow I like that steel look better than the scandium bottom (for a rail).

Z06, does that have an ambi safety?

Very handsome gun, BTW

Single sided safety. I like it so much I had to finally go get a light to put on it

i saw a pic of one from the shot show, so i guess that the PD/SC frame has not been released yet

maybe sometime this yr?

regardless, i will be keeping my eye out on one....

anyone notice that the above pic of the blued SW 1911 PD has NO markings on the slide--like the old 'bill board' ad makings they usually have....i hope that thats going to be the future of thier line
