A good friend wants to sell her Sigma, it has 100 rounds through it. She put 20, I put 80. She does not like the trigger. She will sell it to me for $175. It is like brand new.
I do not own S&W pistols, know very little about them, what is the story and opinion on this pistol. Seems like it will make a good basic gun, reliability any good? The trigger pull feels in the 10 LB range, definitely not a Glock trigger. Do they still make this gun? Thanks, 77 |

No, they stopped making the Sigma a few years ago. Yes, the Sigma's have a 10 lbs trigger pull, +/-. They tend to be very reliable and trouble free pistols.
The Apex spring kit will take some weight off of the trigger pull (up to two pounds). Apex's SD "Glock" style trigger will reduce take up, over travel, and take off ~0.5 to 1.0 pound off the trigger pull. If you install both of these it will reduce the trigger pull down to ~7.5 lbs, +/-. Were it me, I would just install/fit the Apex SD trigger and deal with a trigger in the 8.5lb range. The Sigma is what it is, don't try to make more out of it than it is. $175 is a great price for this pistol. |

Do it.
Very few people like them, so that is why the prices are not high on them. I have owned them in 9mm and they have all been flawless. I prefer to leave my guns stock, but I have heard great things about the APEX kit. I have only seen one that had trouble with 147 grain JHPS from a limpwristed shooter, but 115 and 124 grain ammo fed flawlessly. I guess she just could not handle it. Only short side are aftermarket sights are expensive. |
