Bought a used and abused 5906 and did it over. New springs, sandpaper, mothers, and a lot of time. I'm happy, but it's not for the purist.

I doubt it. The 5906 is stainless through and through. Don't try it on one of the alloy guns though. Yep. The Scotchbrite, and I believe some recommend the blue one, will remove light scuffs and handling marks. You just want to use it in one direction, front to back, not side to side. Definitely don't use it on the anodized alloy frames though. |
