Looking really hard at purchasing one of these with 4.25" in 9mm. I am trying to find out the differances between the regular M&P barrel and the CORE barrel. Im looking to get a threaded barrel but everyone I see is for the regular M&P. Will the regular barrels work wit the CORE model ? Any help on this would be great. Thanks in advance
Just so it's out there I did try to search for the answer but either I'm not cooperating with google or it's not cooperating with me.

The CORE is basically a competition gun designed for USPSA Open and similar.
The COREs don't have threaded barrels, but the slides are cut to allow mounting of an optic (without sending your slide to a gunsmith to be cut). They do come stock with 'suppressor' sights, but that's just because you need taller iron sights so you can co-witness with an optic (since the optics base would block your view of normal height iron sights). Regular threaded barrels *should* work with the CORE pistols. |

I know they don't come with threaded barrels but Im trying to find one to use the CORE with a can from time to time I just wasn't sure on it being listed with the "PRO" models. I'm just not sure what/if the differances in the barrels are. Hopefully someone will no for sure. Thanks for your help. |
