I just got the mount today so I can mount my Trijicon RMR to my 629 V-Comp.  My question is what's the torque setting for the screws attaching the mount to the revolver?

After taking months to find a mount, 30 minutes on hold with S&W listening to this horrible big band music, getting the necessary information, removing the stock sight.....I discovered my new mount that's supposed to fit Trijicon RMR's isn't the right size for RMRs....  So now I gotta try to get ahold of the guy at CDNN who's apparently in charge of such things to find out what the deal is.  I've already got $600 invested in this project without the price of the gun, I really hope they don't tell me I'm out of luck or have to buy something else.

Bad news.....it seems the mount CDNN sells for Trijicon red dots is for the old Doctor Optic sight that the RMR replaced years ago.  Why? I have no idea why a company would sell a mount for an obsolete sight and not for the modern model but here we are.  Anywho, they were nice and are taking it back and refunding my initial costs and the return shipping.  I asked if they have a return label but I guess they don't do that.  Assuming all goes well with the return I'll probably do business with them again but I'll definitely call and ask questions before I buy.

Looks like I have no choice but to buy Trijicon's mount which is $85+  because apparently nobody else makes them
