got an earlier sigma (no rail mount) at the fun show weekend for last. it was part of a trade. the sights are fixed, the rear looks like it has tritium inserts, but they've decayed to nothing.
Not my first choice. But, the heck. Its a tool.
Questions:

Holsters?
Esp concealed carry, is it compatible with holsters designed for another brand of pistol? It bears a "slight" resemblance to an obscure Austrian handgun...the name escapes me now.

Magazines?
I got a 17, a 16, and a 10. Need more. Good sources?

And if theres anything else, advice, etc that might be helpfull, well I'd appreciate it.

If your pistol is one of the "original" Sigmas, then you should sell it and get yourself something else as even this fella here casts aspersions in the earlier models direction, www.gunblast.com/SWSigma9.htm.

The early Sigmas were (putting it politely) NOT very reliable to say the least.

I just traded for the .40 version of the Sigma. Feels great in my hand. Opened the case and the factory shell they included was still sealed with a date of September 04. So I am assuming this is one of the newer ones. The sights are a very crisp brigth white (3 dot system) I can't wait to shoot her on Friday night. It resembles a Glock no doubt. Hopefully it won't have the questionable KB factor of the Glocks    Also conceals quite nicely.

Did I mention 15 rounds of 40 caliber?

midwinter: Try here for mags...they are cheaper than factory S&W mags and supposedly the ProMags are good quality.

I have the sw40ve. I love it. It is 1230 percent reliable. That is how many rounds i have fed thru it without a failure. Conceals nice is an understatement..
The one thing i do not like abou the gun and this is its only fallback. Is the trigger pull. I changed the firing pin spring, buffed the slided. It is much better. The trigger is smooth. But it is definately not easy like a 1911 SA. Thats what i want.

Added benefit.
Factory .357 sig barrel 83.00
People that bash this gun are missing out. And thats a good thing in my opinion

Midwinter call s&w i got 4 14 rounders from them for free
