Never had this issue before.. Hadn't broke the thing down in a while, so, given I was planning to go shooting today, I decided to break it down to make sure all was well. I flipped the little rod down in the mag well, then flipped the switch down, and attempted to remove the slide.. Nothing.

Now I can't break it down, or put the switch back up. Not sure what my dumb ass did wrong or how to fix it, I can't take the slide off, and I can't put a mag in due to the thing being kind of "jammed" down.

Anyone?

Pull back the slide, remove the end plate and striker assembly from the slide. This should let you remove the slide from the frame. Then check that the yellow sear deactivation lever is not canted to the side. If it is, just pop it back into place.

I have a feeling I'm going to have to take it to a gun smith. I don't have any tools where I'm at.

If you have a small flat head screw driver you can do all the work yourself.

What happened is that when you flipped the sear deactivation lever down, your did so at an angle and it is now jammed against the sear, which now cannot move, which prevents the slide (specifically the bottom of the striker) to come from moving forward and off the frame.

Ease the slide forward (with the takedown lever rotated down) and pull the trigger.  I will assume it's unloaded.  Once you have the slide off you can unjam the sear deactivation lever from the sear.

This happens because there is a space next to the sear deactivation lever that is occupied by the lever for the magazine disconnect, which I will guess your M&P is not equipped with.
