| I recently talked to someone at SW and I was told there were about 13,000 Shield 9s on backorder. Does anyone know how fast they produce them, like how many they make a week or month? |

S&W said that they were producing ~300-350 M&P's a day a few months back. I have no idea what percentage, if any, of these are Shield's. |

Don't forget Springfield will be releasing the XDs in 9mm very soon and that is a SWEEEEEET little gun. Honestly, I've owned the Shield and I currently own the XDs in .45 and I prefer the XDs over the Shield. I've owned Springfield XD's and I currently own a 9mm and a 40 Shield.... My LGS had 20+ in stock, and ran a special on them, so I picked one up. I thought they were readily available... I think i paid $450 for it. This. I wonder how many of the 13,000 are 3rd,4th or 5th batch orders of 20+ guns? I know a couple of LGS in the state tend to get 50± divide between multiple stores. I would imagine a lot of smaller stores with small accounts have order 15+, I have no idea how S&W fill orders. |
