So I bought a new M&P in .45, full size. 2nd range trip with it yesterday. First trip, I shot 100 rounds of PMC without any flaws.

This trip, I had a box of independent and a box of summit. I had about 4 or 5 failures to feed, but only on the last round. Basically, the slide wouldn't come all the way forward. A quick tap/rack alleviated the problem, but there was no bang since it only happened on the last round. Any ideas why this could be? Break in period? The gun has now had only 200 rounds through it. I was thinking about using this as an IDPA gun, but I want to make sure it works flawless before taking it out to a match.

Maybe a good gun cleaning and lube, with a little slide lube on the slides. And you might even try it again with PMC ammo and see if it functions again without problems. It could be an ammo or a magazine problem.

Is this reman ammo?

If it functioned flawlessly with PMC, then I would look to the ammo.
