OK, I own a S&W 10mm again.  I use to have a 1006 way back in the day, but got rid of it to buy some useless trinket and I didn't like the adjustable sights on it, so I always had the intention of getting another with fixed sights.

I ran across a great deal on a like new 1076, and I like it even better than the 1006, so it's now sitting in my safe.  The only problem is it sits there with one mag, because that's all there was.  Obviously I wasn't forseeing enough to keep my 10mm mags from my previous gun.

So who has any of these mags for sale?

What do the different color followers mean?  Mine were all the same, so if there's one color better than the other, let me know.

I imagine you can still buy new mags directly from S&W. Follower colors will denote various changes / upgrades to the magazines and they should be able to tell you which is the latest and most desirable. I never was all that thrilled with any of the various 645s or 4506s I owned and fired over the years, but I must admit a serious fondness for the 1076 that I let get away. It remains the only S&W centerfire auto I would like to own again some day...although I cannot say I would have a lot of use for it these days. Mine handled WW Silvertips extremely well and I had no problems at all in over 3000 rounds or so that I fired through it.

The S&W parts list on their site says "See Chart" for "magazine assembly" under the M1076 heading and I did not look long enough to find the chart...but they do still list parts for the guns.

They're under accesories-magazines.  $39.95 each.  At least they still sell them if all else fails.  I just need to find some a bit cheaper.

WHOO, HOO!  That's what I wanted to see!  Thanks, that'll work.  I seriously doubt I'll find any cheaper than that.

The yellow followers were the old ones. The white followers were the new improved ones, but I never had any problems with the old ones. Found one with a crack but it still worked.

congrats on your 1076

I have two of them.

Good gun.  My agency just transitioned from it in the past year, after 13 years of success with it.  I bought mine rather than turn it in when they gave us the option.

My order for ten mags came in the mail yesterday from KY Imports.  Pretty fast service, considering the mail holiday.  All the mags are either like new, or excellent condition.  7 of them were white follower and three had yellow ones.  A yellow one came with the gun.  So KY delivered quickly with a product as advertised.
