My dad has a model 669 9mm and its a neat gun but i discounted it for a long time. but i was thinking about it today after we shot it that it has never failed in all the rounds fired out of it over the years. this is alot since it was my dads only sidearm for a long time.. and it has never been detail cleaned or even basic field strip. just a wipe down and a bore snake ran through. so today after firing a couple hundred rounds (flawless again) I gave it a good cleaning. I want one in .40! what are yalls recommendations? I want the same size weapon, thanks

I haven't fingered a 669 in awhile, but i'd say look for either a 4013 or 4053. I love my 4053 tsw.

The 4006 is an excellent 3rd gen..though its a bit larger and heavier due to its all stainless construction,it will feed empty cases too.ultrareliable and accurate.Too bad youre so far away,Id let you try mine out.I dont shoot it much since getting my 4"gp100..38s are cheaper.

I own a 4046...the double-action only version of the 4006

It's a damn good pistol it's main detractors being that it's heavy and takes some getting use to the trigger. High capacity in these S&W .40 cal pistols is 11 rounds in the mag.
