Took the thing out for the second time today, and it's not working.
Long story short, it worked fine for around 300 rounds Sunday, today, only about 20 rounds actually fired, many failures to fire. Took it apart, and best I can figure is the firing pin return spring either broke, or lost some "springiness" in the cold weather. Either way, the firing pin was only coming back to about even with the rear of the bolt, so the hammer wasn't hitting it. Occasionally if I smacked the side of the gun with the muzzle up I could get a few rounds off, then back to 'click!' Anybody else had a similar issue or heard of it? |

Crud in the striker channel? May be worth blasting it with brake cleaner to see if it clears out. No striker on the M&P22. I figured he meant the firing pin channel. Of course, just making sure he is informed. I don't have one - I assumed it was the same as the "real" M&P. Does the M&P22 have an internal hammer then? |
