Anyone know where to find one? I've looked everywhere. I read somewhere that they were discontinued, but didn't believe this due to the fact it is still listed on the S&W website.

They're kinda in short supply for now.  S&W is really getting hit with large orders for M&P pistols by a lot of LE agencies right now, mainly on the standard full-size pistols - so, that's what they're primarily making, and not the more varied models like the long slide guns.  Getting simple parts like a striker or trigger bar is hard right now too.  All the parts in the part bins are going into guns.  That's what happens when you're a firearms company making a pistol that's taking off in popularity - especially with law enforcement.  I'm expecting my agency to start taking a hard look at the M&P40 to replace my current gun.

Sooner or later they will be back in production, but odds are it will be a while.  I was also on a hunt for a M&P9 Pro, and my local shop called three different distributors and was told at least 90 days out.  He did however have a M&P40L on the shelf that followed me home...

All the Pros I've seen are horrendously overpriced, but then again, I don't want to get the Pro as I will be replacing everything that makes it the Pro model.

Good luck in your hunt.  I absolutely love mine.  I had Customized Creationz work up a cerakote finish and I have one of their R&D sears.  You will understand why people love these things so much once you have one.

I already gave up and bought a VTAC model. Should be here Thursday or Friday.

After a few trips to the range, I might upgrade the parts with an APEX DCAEK, depending whether I feel it needs it or not.
