I'm trying to get my new 640 situated how I'd like it, and I'm having a bit of difficulty finding the grip style that I feel would work best for me. All the grips I own or have had occasion to try are either a tad too small to get a good hand hold on or too large as to restrict smooth draw from pocket carry. Ideally, I'd like something like the K-frame Hogue Bantam grip that has a small lip hanging off the bottom for my pinky but also with a slightly enlarged backstrap.  The Uncle Mikes grips are the closest in backstrap size to what I'm looking for but they're just too long.  The Pachmayr Compac that I have on my 317 is pretty close in grip length but it is far to big around and heavy for pocket carry IMO. Does anybody have any leads on a set of grips that may fit my needs? Thanks in advance for any tips. |
