| When chambering 147gr. HP, the slide sticks like its having difficulty shoving the round up the ramp and into the chamber. It looks like the flat front of the bullet is catching the bottom edge of the chamber. The pistol has several hundred rounds of fmj through it so the ramp is well polished. Being a CCW piece, having the round hang up is not a good thing. |

Yes, dropping the slide release, sling shotting and downloading the mags all do the same thing. A poster over on the M&P forum said he sent his in and it came back with a new barrel with a channeled feed ramp vs. the smooth half moon feed ramp.
Does any else have a ramp shaped like this and can you post pics? |

I haven't tried other HP rounds yet. I checked the OAL at 1.115 which is in the range for this bullet weight. The rounds are WWB 147 gr. HP. I measured my WWB 115 gr. FMJ at 1.165 which is the standard OAL for FMJ in this weight range so I know its not a size issue.
I racked several rounds through it to see how it was hanging up. It appears that the round is coming straight out of the mag and "sticking" at the base of the feed ramp before spring pressure finally pulls the round into the chamber. I've also posted on M&P forum to see if I can get a pic of the new feed ramp. |

Quoted: Since my last post, I've tried several different types of HP ammo and none will feed reliably. Is anyone else having this issue? My M&P 9c feeds WW 115gr ball, S&B 124gr ball, South Aftrican PMP ball, Speer 124gr gold dots, Ranger 147 and HST 147 with no problems. Time to contact S&W, They'll take care of it. |

Is your feed ramp dished or does it have a channel in it? There have been some posters on the M&P forum that have sent their's in and the barrels have come with with a channel in the feed ramp. |
