Is there a type of rail that you can add to the original 92FS frame. Im thinking along the lines of the 1911 dawson for the 92fs but i keep getting put off the idea because of the specialty adapter for the SF wep light.
Your thoughts??? J |
| I have the Surefire MR11 for mine, and it works well. It did provide a little "battle scar" inside the trigger guard from removal (it is not a permanent install) but it does not affect function at all, and could be repaired fairly easily. Doesn't really bother me too much, my 92FS isn't meant to be a safe queen. |

Do you run this rail? |

Thanks J once installed (it hugs the front of the trigger guard) there is a set screw in the bottom of the trigger guard portion which you tighten up, and it in turn provides even more tension by means of a urethane pad against the trigger guard. there is also a small urethane pad between the dust cover and the rail section to prevent rubbing. I have found mine to be a very solid part, in conjunction with my TLR-1. If you can find one for less than Surefire MSRP, I recommend it. another option, although I can't vouch for any aspect of it, is made by CAA (Command Arms Accessories) I believe, which uses the button for the takedown lever to lock onto the pistol. I haven't used or handled this unit, so I can't provide any further comment. |
