I just got a used 92fs, its a police trade in for $329, my gal bought it for me for Christmas

Anyway, the night sights that are on it are pretty much dead.  Is there a way refurbish them, like send back to Trijicon or something?

thanks

Just send the whole slide back to Trijicon, I think they charge $75 to replace the vials of tritium.

Kick ass, thanks. How does the price sound?  I thought it was a pretty good deal.

If it is in good condition the price isn't bad as long as it's not a DAO gun.

Its not.  It does look old though, it has a straight dust cover, slotted grip screws, all metal parts, and the take down lever handle is flat... i haven't seen one like this before.

It's a good price.

I've been meaning to send mine in for the past ten years.  Haven't got around to it.

That pistol may be a LA Sheriff trade in to Beretta.
The take down lever sounds like it is the LAPD/LASD modified lever.
Fleet of pistols were converted to the flat lever by grinding the ledge off. Beretta also sells it that way.

It was modified due to the movie star type of gun grab, showing the bad guy simply snatching the slide from your pistol in a take-away. Grab pistol, slam down the lever and yank the slide off..........Never happened in real life (if so I would like to hear about when/where) due to the very likelihood of said bad guy getting shot multiple times if that close to grabbing a handgun

Does the pistol have a 6 stamped into the left side trigger guard?

I was curious about relamping as well so I emailed their customer service.  Here is the reply from them, I think this email exchange was in August of this year.

Thank you for your inquiry. Our Night Sights (date stamped next to "H3") have a 12 year warranty that is pro-rated as they are continuously dimming. Pending inspection, Trijicon Night Sights can be re-lamped at our factory. All 3 lamps can be replaced with new for $54 per slide ($18 per lamp) which includes return shipping. Turn-around time is approximately 10 business days. Ship your slide only please. Get return authorization using the following link.

No, it does have a shield type shape with a 'P' inside of it.
