Has anyone shot this yet?

I have been drooling over it since it came out but MD handgun law prohibits its sale until Beretta put an internal lock on it.

Anyone know if they plan on doing this?

Trigger pull is heavy as hell & we can't give them away at gunshows. YMMV.

I bought one when they first came out.  It was very stiff when new but has loosened quite well now.  The slide is a bit too narrow (low profile) to rack.  Its a little too thick for CCW.  But all in all it is a great shooter.

Heavy compared to what? I have a Ruger P89... anything like that? Can trigger pull be adjusted?

Since you can't give them away at gunshows, do you have any that are practically new that you could sell as used? I live in MD, so unless they have an integral trigger lock, I don't think I can even buy one new from out of state because of the stupid laws here. if you have all new ones... well, it only has to have had one owner to be considered used... doesn't matter that it's never been shot. Don't forget that if the 9000 was made before 1-1-2003 you don't need to worry about that Md law.

I also, like the 9000.
Put about 5-600 rounds through it and it will be loose as a goose.

I am thinking about getting one for my girlfriends CCW.

I had one and am very glad I got rid of it.  Traded it and some cash for a NIB Springfield Mil-spec and have zero regrets.

The trigger pull is about the worst I've ever enountered.  Mine was a DAO model, BTW.  Because the trigger pull was so heavy, I could never get it to group really well.

The slide was VERY hard to rack.  My wife couldn't even do it.

It was a very reliable gun.  I put several hundred rounds through it without any problems.

Overall, I think for the money there are better alternatives.

Sorry to hear that. I had pretty high expectations for this gun. I'll have to be a little more careful if I consider buying it... hopefully if I do I'll be able to test drive it first.
