| at the range yesterday i had a Winchester 119 gr round "explode" if you will, the casing ruptured in my barrel, there doesn't appear to be any damage, however my locking block fell out twice during cleaning, this has never happened before and i believe it is more loose now than it was prior to this happening, any thoughts? |

Did you get sprayed in the face with burning debris? Was the empty case still in the chamber? Was this a WWB 100 pack round?
The exact same thing happened to me recently with the same ammo. My locking block, that i had never needed to force out, now just slides out by tipping the barrel. I've put hundreds of rounds through this pistol since with no problems. If anything, now i can clean and lube under the block, so i see it as a positive. I wouldn't worry unless your shooting more Winchester. I stick to Blazer Brass now. Cheaper, cleaner, safer. |

My locking block comes out with some fiddling, but doesn't fall out. I should add that mine is a 96 (.40 S&W) and I've had it for almost 17 years. I've shot thousands of rounds out of it (including this last Saturday).
I'll second the Blazer Brass. It's cheap and always goes *BOOM* just right. |
