| I have a standard 92FS, not a target model, and I'm wondering if I can move the rear sight to adjust it? The gun shoots to the left (benchrest, other people shooting it, etc.--it appears to be the gun, not me). The rear sight looks like it's a piece set in there, like it might be able to be moved left or right to adjust it with a little pounding or something, but the only sight adjustment info I could find in the manual was for a target model or something like that. I just want to make sure, is it made to be movable, or is it secured in there somehow and trying to move it might damage it? Sorry if this sounds stupid, I've never needed to adjust a sight on a handgun before that wasn't clearly and easily adjustable. Any help would be appreciated. |

The rear sight blade is in fact driftable for windage. Move it in the direction you wish the bullet to move to. Don't get overzealous with the taps & use a brass drift or punch to do the job, i.e. don't hammer directly on the sight blade. Brownells & Midway sellls the little hammer that includes the drift for about $15-20. Well worth the $$$, IMO. Good luck!
