If searched for information and can't find very much in terms of its history or current market value.....more specifically, though it is in excellent condtion, I would like to see if I can get other type grips for it.

Blue Book says:

Model 70S - .22LR or .380acp, single action, 3-1/2" bbl, 9 shot, blue finish, plastic grips. .22LR has adj rear sight. Disc. 1985.

100% = $240   95% = $185

While you didn't get a steal, you also didn't get ripped. Sometimes that's all one can hope for...........

As for grips, good luck there. Due to the lack of popularity & mag release in the grip design, not many options will be available, IMO. Might try Ajax Grips in Texas?

I would also recommend changing out the recoil spring. Cheap insurance for $10 or so.

Great little handgun! Used for decades by the Israelis for defense and assasination work...AKIK it still is. For a while they imported lots of standard grips for these guns (there is a .380 twin also) but that was long ago, so I cannot say how easily you might find a set...try Ebay?

$200 in todays money is pretty decent I think. You almost cannot wear one out in either caliber and they were something like $170 or so many many years ago NIB. Mags should be relatively easy to find.

Trigger return? Recoil?

Beretta USA may be able to hook you up on the trigger return spring. Wolff springs may be another option. Numerich may have a few goodies for this gun too.

Good luck!
