That seems like a no-brainer - use mags that fit the CX4 Storm.
Wonder why they decided to go a different route.

They are going to offer a grip insert for the storm carbine to use the PX4 mags. I know it would be nice to use existing mags in new guns, but I don't get too upset when companies make a new gun and it uses new mags..as long as the new mag is a better design, holds more rounds, and/or is still affordable.

So many people get real bent when a new gun uses it's own propriatory mag design.....I don't get too excited.

Some would like all new guns to use greasegun mags, or Uzi mags or for handguns...use 92 mags, etc......We may see some great stuff with the new designs.

That wasn't supposed to sound like an attack it's just that some others need to welcome new stuff.

I didn't take it that way, and normally I don't mind...I've got so many calibers and so many different magazines that I wouldn't have a foot to stand on if I argued that all mags should be the same...

It just seems to me like CX4 and PX4 - both named "Storm" would have been marketed with the same magazines.

I agree.....

This way Beretta can sell you one more thing.....I bet that wasn't an accident

The Px4 pistol that I took checked out before ordering mine (mine is sitting at my dealers place as we speak...I mean type) the mag was very well made and looked like quality stuff...and the 17 rounds in a flusf fitting mag seemed great. I am still looking for at least a picture of the 20rd 9mm PX4 mags.....never seen one.
