My sister has a 9mm Beretta Cougar and is complainging that it only reliably feeds WWB ball ammo.  Is the Cougar known to be picky about ammo?  Do they need a "fluff and buff"?

I haven't seen the gun, so I have no idea how dirty or lubricated it is.  Any ideas?

I had one years ago that was picky about which brands of ammo it would function with, but it wasn't an issue with hollow points vs fmj. It just needed hot loads to work correctly.

FPNI.

Don't use light loads. Steel cased can be finicky, depending on the gun. +P and NATO pressure ammo is what I recommend.

Lots of oil, no grease.

Model 8000 was designed around 40 S&W, then downsized to 9mm. Very durable, very reliable, so long as you're running hot ammo.
