I got a 92a1 and it shooting way to the right.  I literally got to aim off target to the left to hit center.  Is the rear sight adjustable, like with a punch?  I don't want to damage this fine looking pistol.
Thank.

Are you a lefty or a righty? The reason I ask is my experience has taught me that a lot of the time when a gun is shooting left, right, low, high it is the shooter more than the gun or ammo. That being said, yes you can drift the rear sight with a punch.

Adjust your trigger finger, you might be using to much trigger finger and you are pulling the gun right as you squeeze. Relaxing your grip a little might help too. It only takes a millimeter or two of shift as the gun is fired to make a huge point of impact change down range. I'm not trying to blame you but Beretta 92s are typically very accurate guns. If you are still having problems something that helped me a lot as I have smaller hands was to switch to a short reach trigger, add a set of Wilson Combat slim grips and swap my hammer spring to a "D" hammer spring to lighten the trigger. I actually took it a step further with some of my Berettas and I use a Wilson Combat #14 hammer spring which is two pounds lighter than the D hammer spring.

My 92A1 with the short reach trigger, Wilson Combat tactical slant slim grips.

I have the same grips on my M9A1 compact, the photo below shows the profile of the grips, they are slim in the middle of the grip.

I had mostly shot rifles and when I got into pistol shooting a while back I bought a S&W M&P and could hardly keep my shots on the paper. Talked to a guy at a LGS about it. He had me show him my grip, I had the first crease of my finger on the trigger. He said to try it with the end of my finger on the trigger.
I could hardly believe the difference that little change made, I'm no expert shot by any means but I can now keep most of my shots near the center of the target.

For me it depends on the gun. For years I struggled with my Glocks shooting left until I was told to sink more finger on the trigger, this fixed my shooting left problem. With Berettas my challenge has been my smedium hands. Better grips and the short reach trigger has helped. I use the pad on my finger and my shots are perfect. Shooting Berettas have spoiled me, they have excellent triggers, they are very accurate and because of the weight recoil is next to nothing so my shot to shot accuracy even under rapid fire is great. I shoot Beretta 92s better than any other handgun I own.

Thanks both the 92A1 and M9A1 compact are both excellent guns. If I were only going to have one though it would be the M9A1 compact because of its versatility.
