A friend of mine has an old 22 rimfire Beretta model 101 pistol. hasnt been shot in years and is in nice condition. I shot it this weekand and she was just curious about it. Any ideas where I could find out how old it is and such? Thanks guys!

Short of asking Beretta, not that I'm aware of. All the Blue Book says is "discontinued".

There were variations of that type in .22LR, .32 and .380, the 70T, 70S, 71, 72 and Jaguar, to name a few. (some had 8 round mags, longer barrels and/or adjustable sights)
And a target model 76 with a weighted barrel was the top model .22, which I think used the same 10 round mags as the 101.
Those factory mags seem to be getting harder to find in 8 or 10 rounders.
The model 101 was introduced in 1959, I suspect the import laws of '68 ended importation.
Very nice guns, the models very similar I had ran well for a long time, BTW.
'59 to '68 "old"?...time flies!
