Recently I purchased a Srpnco recoil srping for my 92 FS.  i purchased the 13lb spring to have as a back up srping.  Yesteday, I tried the spring in my 92FS to check for reliablility.  Not only did I shoot harball but some +P rounds as well.  While I have never found the recoil from even a +P 9mm round "heavy" , I did notice a significant difference in the felt reoil.  I found double taps were easier as there was not as much muzzle climb in recoil.

this is not the recoil reducer, just their standard 13lb recoil spring.  I was really pleased with the results and have ordered another for my other 92.

Has anyone has this similiar experience just by changing a recoil spring?

I have the same but mine is the recoil reducer.  No problems with it either.  I love it and the double taps are great.  The gun is actually my wifes and she loves the "less recoil" in it.

I have a the same recoil spring device in a couple of Browning High Powers, but I am always interested in the experience people have with this arrangement.  When I ordered it I thought there was a good chance it was going to turn out to be snake oil, but I really believe they have an effect on double taps, for example, and recoil suppression in general.  They certainly are nicely made.  Expensive, but nicely made and effective.

I've always been paranoid about reliability with these things - as every once in a while I'll see a complaint about them.

I've been conceal carrying my regular 92FS for 18+ months now. I switched to carrying a compact 92FS last week. I noticed that I could do doubletaps better with the compact 92. I assume it is the shorter barrel/shorter slide that allows it.
