i followed the "free 92FS disassembly" vid, but the vid only goes as far as extractor removal.  the exposed firing pin and its spring are well gunked from 10 years of only being field stripped.  id like to learn how to break that down as well and clean that out.

or, would hosing it down with something like brake cleaning help if full disassembly isnt practical?

This is what I do with my 92's. I've been told by multiple folks that when one removes a roll pin from the 92 slide, it is best to replace it with a NIB pin instead of reusing the old one. Given the looks of ppins that have been reused, this does make sense to me.

It's a pity the 92 slide doesn't detail strip as easily as the lower does.........................
