I have found some 20 and 30 round magazine for the P226, but I am hesitant to purchase for quality insurance(Promag, are they any good?) . I am looking to get my brother high cap mag for xmass, something 20 or over.
Anyone here have one? if so, how does it work? and where did you get it? Any info is appreciated. Thanks Ian |

ProMag and USA are, indeed, crap, and should be avoided. I have a number of the new MecGar 18rd and 20rd magazines for both the Beretta 92 and SIG P226. They all function perfectly, and are well worth purchasing. |

Everything I've ever read about Pro-Mag is negative and I'm sure there is a reason for that.
Here is my experience: A few years back, I bought some used factory Sig 226 9mm mags from a police officer who was changing over to .40 cal. He asked if I also wanted a couple old 17 round aftermarket mags made by Pro-Mag and at first I said "No thanks". But he threw them in for short money so I took them. He said that he used them for range mags and never had a problem. I probably wouldn't use them for defense, but they are certainly not junk. If you can get them for dirt cheap I'd grab them for range mags. Maybe you'll end up trusting them after some use. The finish is durable and I've used them a few times with no issues. YMMV That being said, you can tell that Mec-Gar mags are of better quality. |

This^^^^^ Buy Mecgar from top gun supply and never look back DO NOT buy any of the factory Sig "long" 20 rounders......they stick way down compared to the "new" 20's from Mecgar |
