Anyone know of any difference from the Standard P229? OTHER than the Tactical Rail?

The trigger is DAO not single action after the first shot like a real sig.

Developed by the renowned engineers at Sauer for the SIG SAUER pistols, the new DAK trigger system delivers a safe, reliable and consistent 6.5 pound double-action only trigger pull. The DAK is currently available for the P229 and P226 models. (above shown with night sights)

Excellent trigger design! Better even than the H&K LE module trigger. I have only fired one, but in my opinion, this trigger should come standard on all Sigs now!

The DAK trigger is massively lighter than the standard DA/SA or even DAO triggers.  It also feels like it has a faster reset.  The light DAO concept is coming of age with guns like the Para-Ord LDA, HK LEM and the DAK.  Its a sound concept.  A light, managable DA pull for every shot.  Consistancy adds a lot.  I just wish I could convert my P226 to this trigger.   Word is, if comes from the factory DAK'd it can be converted back to DA/SA, but not vice versa.

Ernest Langdon might be able to do it.  www.langdontactical.com

Shouldn't be any problem.  The 229 was designed to be a .40 S&W first.  Then came 9mm and .357 SIG in the 229.

Hammer looks different too.

My P229 (purchased early '99) has a much more pronounced hammer spur. May have something to do with this DAO nonsense.
