So i was at a shooting tournament and i was shooting thru a small window and the guy running the event said to me after i shot to make sure i don't put my gun into the window next time as the recoil could cause the gun to hit the top of it and either break or move the sight. I was wondering how hard it is to move the sight, me being the little parinod person i am i feel like it has moved, and cant go to the range for another week. But i just wanted to know is it really this easy to move the sight? btw im shooting a p226

How small of a window is it that you would hit the side of it with recoil?

The real reason you don't put your gun through the window is so a bad guy hiding next to it can't grab it.

No, its not that easy to move the sight......or at least it shouldn't be.  And I had someone tell me the same thing a few years ago, with the logic being that a shell casing could bounce back into the ejection port and jam the gun.  (fat chance of that ever happening)
