Id like some input on reliability etc from anyone who has one.  I`ve got 3 full size nines but I`m looking at the P239 for CCW.  Thanks,  DAVE

I have a .40 239 plus a .357 barrel for it.  It is very reliable, small, accurate, light and it is my primary carry pistol.  The squareness of the grip isn't bad once you get used to it, but if it bothers you the Nill grips feel great and add no bulk to the gun.

A friend of mine has put about 7000 rds through his with no problems.  He did swap the recoil spring at about 4,000 rds to be safe.

I`m already set up to reload 9MM so thats what I`d be looking at.  I handeled one at the last show here but I havent fired one.  My Browning is my favorite 9 but it`s a little on the large size for CCW.  What originally got me looking at the 239 is thats its not much bigger then my PPKS.  Thanks for the input,  DAVE

I like my p239 9mm, about 500 rounds through it no problem yet. I'm planning on getting a full size p226-st. I'm selling my p239 for $400 and I live in Houston, if your interested.

I have a 239 in 40 S&W i use for CCW . Nice pistol great fit , finish , no reliabilty problem after 500 rounds . does have a bit of muzzle flip mut very managable , very light I hardly realize i have it on me anymore. I like the single stack mag helps with the thin profile . Hope this helps

I've got the 239 in .40 and actually wish I'd bought it in 9MM. As mentioned before, it has quite a bit of muzzle flip. Still, I like the gun's accuracy and reliablilty enough that it's my CCW gun 95% of the time.
I hated the factory grips and replaced them with the Hogue finger grips and they are SWEET.

I have a P239 in 9mm and love it.  Perfect size and extremely reliable.  My only problem is with the factory grips.  They are just too slick, and hard to hold on to.  I don't like rubber grips as they tend to grab your clothing.  They need some checkered grips instead of the pebble finished ones.  I also shoot a P220ST

I have one in 357 Sig.Its an awesome carry piece and I'd trust my life on it under any circumstance.Reliability and Sig in the same sentence is redundancy.

Try the Nill grips (wood).  I have them on mine and they are great.  A tad expensive at times though...

The other option is to stipple your factory ones with a soldering iron.  I did it to my 226 .40 and it made a huge improvement for about ten minutes worth of work.
