I purchased a P229 last year, and I put about 800 rounds threw it. I was on the range yesterday, and it keep double feeding. I went home, and did an inspection. The extractor looks like a piece broke off the end. Will I have to send the pistol back to the factory, or will they send me a new extractor? I was also wondering if they have a good customer service department.
I'm going to locate their web page, and look for a telephone number or e-mail address.

Thanks, sort308

If you bought it new, then you have the Lifetime Warranty and turn around is roughly a week these days.  If it was CPO, then you have a 1 year warranty and the purchase date would be critical.  For warranty work you would have to send it back, they won't generally send you the part and call it good.  they have to ensure that it is the problem and that it is rectified properly to keep the Lifetime warranty intact.  Pics might be helpful to e-mail or post if you suspect it to be the problem.

The information was real good, and thank you for posting it. If I ever have any future problems, I will have some pics.
