If you are using Remington and Black Hills FMJ, it's probably not an ammo problem. I could be a problem with your magazines, maybe you got a bad batch of weak mag springs. See if you can try it out with different mags, and see if the problem persists. Also, check the feed ramp on the barrel, make sure there isn't something wrong there to cause FTFs. Think about having the feed ramp polished. Sometimes that can do wonders for feeding problems. Also, when you are shooting, make sure you are not "limp wristing" the gun. I have never had a problem with that on SIGs, but it did crop up when I first started shooting Glocks. "Limp wristing" can cause feeding problems. Just make sure you have a good firm grip on the gun, and lock your wrist. If the problems persist, I would contact SIG customer service and send the gun back to them for examination. |
| I have seen similar problems with the 220 Carry on the Sig Forum, but most have had good luck. I got my 220 Carry last month (my 5th Sig), and it has been flawless with a couple hundred FMJ, 100 rds of Fed HST JHP and 50 rounds of Golden Saber 230 JHP. I used the two issued 8 rd mags, and two 8 rd mags from Novak. Mine has been flawless, so hopefully yours just needs to be tweaked by Sig. |
