| Do any of you have any experience with the GRRP package that Bruce Gray is offering? Reducing the reset by 50% sounds perfect. Any safety or reliability issues arise due to the smithing? Any help would be much appreciated. |
| Do NOT mistake the factory SRT for a Bruce Gray SRT. I have shot both and have put around 10k rounds through my USPSA gun with the BG trigger. Bruce's work is TOP NOTCH. Not to mention he is one of the nicest folks around. I have been witness to a few problems with the factory SRT as well. My opinion, Bruce's work is worth about twice what he charges for it. You will not have regrets. |

I may have not been clear about that...like the above poster said, Bruce Gray's stuff and the factory Sig stuff are not the same. Have you had any problems with your Grayguns SRT or have you just seen problems with the OEM stuff? I would like to get SRTs in my carry gun and my "fighting" gun, both of which will get used and dirty and I want to make sure they will still go BANG every time. |

I had the opportunity to meet Bruce Gray at a pistol class in Sacramento, CA. I have to say that he is a CLASS ACT! I was extremely impressed with him as a teacher, shooter and as a person. While at the class, I had the opportunity to shoot a SIG P226 with a Bruce Gray Reduced Reset. In all honesty, it's tits! hich The only issue that I see with the GRRP is that Grayguns does not recommend that you get this for a Carry gun. I don't remember the particulars. If you are planning to carry the pistol, let Bruce and Scott know. They'll point in you in the right direction! On a side note, I had the opportunity to shoot a SIG P226 Elite with the Sigarms SRT (Short Reset Trigger). I was very impreesed with it! I would liken it to the same distance (NOT FEEL) as a Glock. I've heard that you can send a P220, P226, P228/P229 to Sigarms for SRT installation. I'm not positive, so you'd have to contact Sigarms customer service on that. Good luck! |

I've not got to talk to Bruce myself, but have talked to Scott and they seem like really good guys... busy, but good. I've not had work done by them, but will say the only problem known with the Sig SRT job, and this was when they first got going... was hammer follow due to the hammer and sear not engaging (??) properly, causing the hammer to "follow" the slide back to home position rather than staying cocked for single action mode. See the report below: and note that I've talked to others with the Sig SRT job and have heard nothing but praise. As of today, I've been informed of a new stainless P229 hybrid with SRT and AEP, 20 rounds shot through it, no failures... Sig Custom Shop had very fast turn around, a little over a week... and it's on it's way home tomorrow. After many hours of thinking and figuring.... this puppy now has the skeletonized trigger and hammer added (purchased from Germany), Sig Super Stippled walnut grips, solid stainless recoil spring guide rod from steve bedair ... and will next be off to another destination for front strap checkering, possible trigger guard checkering, full internal polishing package, and not sure if I should stick with matt finish (glass bead blast) or brushed stainless finish for the frame to match the brushed finish on the two tone slide. Pics coming soon of project so far. Either way, you can't go wrong, with Bruce, or Sig.. In comparison, I can't compare, but I will say one is probably not better than the other, just different. |
