hello all, I Have decided upon purchasing a SIG 226r DAK, sadly i am having trouble deciding which caliber...9mm or .40cal. I am a police officer in vermont and would use this gun for mostly off duty carry home protection with a side of competition shooting. I am leaning towards the 9mm for cheapness of ammo and magazine size, but 40 for the stopping power. I know some of us say shot placement and cal. doesnt matter. What are some of your opinions one way or another. I carry a 40 on duty and am thinking that uniformity dictates a 40 off duty but there are no rules or regs other than personal preference in place.
