hello all, I Have decided upon purchasing a SIG 226r DAK, sadly i am having trouble deciding which caliber...9mm or .40cal. I am a police officer in vermont and would use this gun for mostly off duty carry home protection with a side of competition shooting. I am leaning towards the 9mm for cheapness of ammo and magazine size, but 40 for the stopping power. I know some of us say shot placement and cal. doesnt matter.
What are some of your opinions one way or another. I carry a 40 on duty and am thinking that uniformity dictates a 40 off duty but there are no rules or regs other than personal preference in place. Thanks again for your time and am looking forward to joining the ranks of SIG owenrs, these handguns are unbelievable
