I just purchased a used 225. I am pretty sure my 226 has a short trigger and I know my 239 does. 1. How do I know which trigger my 225 has? 2. Will putting a short trigger in it reduce trigger pull for my wife? Thanks |

I don’t have the dimensions and, to be honest, have never seen a short P225 trigger anyway (though I understand SIG does sell them). I’d think you could tell what you’ve got by comparing your P225 to photos. I’m pretty certain the P225 on the www.sigforum.com cover page has a regular trigger. A short trigger is simply thinner (front to back) than a regular trigger. While I don’t think you can do it with a P225 trigger, a regular P228 trigger can be converted into a short trigger by simply grinding away the front part of the trigger. Thus the short trigger will reduce the distance between the backstrap and the trigger face, but won’t make the trigger weight any lighter. |
