how is the recoil on the gsr compared to other 1911s? I.e. the smith and wessons?
I noticed that the slide on the GSR is much thicker than a normal 1911 slide. it has the boxy figure to it and am wondering if the added weight makes it flip harder.

A little less felt recoil due to the overall weight. It had a tad more than I thought it would, but nothing that I objected to. It felt good.
