IIRC talking to the SIG rep at SHOT the frames are the same between the 220 and 220 carry. So essentially you would be accomplishing the same thing that the 220 Carry already has. It's a 245 length guide rod, barrel and slide in a 220 frame.

So the carry is just a 245 top end on a 220? If so, can you just mount the 245 upper on a 220 frame? Any gunsmithing involved?

frames between a P220 and P220C are the same. A P245 top WILL NOT fit on a P220 frame. Thats the effect they were going for, but had to re engineer it to work.

So if i buy the upper parts for a 220 Carry, will it fit on my 220 frame?
